The understanding that he wasn't doing what he should have been doing made his day all the more enjoyable to little Lucien. Smirk painted across his face, the boyish man began to explore London with an insatiable curiosity that betrayed his age. Grey eyes alive with interest, Lucien seemed to run his fingers along every building he walked near, inconveniencing any other passing characters. Any time anyone looked ready to scold the young man though, he flashed them a warm smile and they more often than not just brushed him off and went back about their business. A devious chuckle escaped his lips when a particularly annoyed man hustled out of his way with a deep sigh and roll of his eyes. "Annoying people is just way too easy. I gotta remember this. 'Course Ally-kins never lets me forget how easily I annoy her." The child's cool eyes hardly faltered as he lost himself to his thoughts momentarily.
Straightening himself, Lucien decided he'd try to appear how Alister usually begged him to for once. Respectable adult. The concept was infinitely amusing to the six-month old child. It was just painfully easy to fool the humans with his appearance, but it also seemed as easy to delude them with cleverly chosen words as well. This would be a good time to test his abilities, the toddler thought with a devious smile. The showmen he worked with often remarked on how young Lucien always seemed in spirit, which was at first alarming to the boy, but he guessed that was the closest anyone had ever come to figuring him out. If anyone in the world could guess that he was really a toddler though he'd probably stuff a cookie in their mouth for a job well done before running off in a terror. That was acceptable, right? Probably not, the young man thought with a frown.
What was it that really kept all these adults to be such tightwads? Tightwad. Lucien heard that one from a group of men who obviously had problems with how their women were acting. Why stick with a lady if she made you angry all the time? Jeez adults sure were confusing as hell, Lucien thought with a light shake of the head. Faintly he remembered one man saying 'it was all about the tail' but that was even more confusing considering humans didn't even have tails. Not like digimon could sometimes. Humans! Ridiculous creatures from what Lucien could tell. Then something caught Lucien's eye. The university never did look particularly frightening to the young boy before, but for some reason when he looked at it on this particular day it sent a slight shiver up his spine. Was he just imagining things? He didn't want to think so. Grey eyes turning back to his surroundings, Lucien caught the attention of the closest person.
She was a normal looking young woman and smiled warmly when Lucien flagged her down with a wave. "I'm sorry to distract you miss, but would you happen to know the name of this school?" The question in itself was non-threatening enough but Lucien still felt like something awful could happen at any moment. Tilting her head slightly in confusion, the girl cast her eyes at the university a moment before answering earnestly, "That's just the London Metropolitan University. Are you not from around here?" Frowning slightly, Lucien held his gaze on the building for a few moments before he could bring himself to reply. "New to the area actually," The slight distraction in his voice was rather evident, leaving the young woman to cast him a confused look. With a friendly bow of the head the young woman said a short goodbye and continued on her walk, leaving Lucien to stand across the street from the university with a foul look on his face. He didn't like this one bit.

She was drying her hair casually dressed in a dark red tee and some black pajamas. She sighed, glad for the moment of silence. It was really, really, really quiet. She frowned. There was something wrong with this picture. It hadn’t been this quiet since she found a certain someone – "Lulu?" She called as she began to look around the apartment with the towel still wrapped around her neck like a scarf. Usually there was some complaint heard around their apartment. He hated that nickname after all. Besides, It wasn't as if it was easy to hide an adult sized child anyways. At least, not inside here.
The blonde paled at that thought. Don’t tell me he went outside again? I just took a shower! Nibbling on her fingers, she hoped not. She hoped to Yggdrasil he didn't. London was no place for an adult sized child, especially when this one was only a few months old. She looked out the window. At least there's still light. She said before grabbing a sneakers and running out the door. ”So much for sitting back and relaxing.” She thought with a bit of a sigh.
She looked around. So, this wasn’t going to be easy. Sure, she could easily tell who he was just by looking for someone without a digimon partner, but there were so many people in London at this time. In fact, her stomach told her it was lunch. Just how long would it be before Lulu would cause some sort of commotion and she’d have to break in there and rescue him? The poor child was so, so, infuriating. If she had her way, she’d lock ‘im up in some sort of box and wait a few years. Unfortunately, things don’t always work out that way. And, being as soft hearted as she was – not that she’d ever outwardly admit it – she wouldn’t be able to lock him in a box for too long.
”Lulu!” She called again, stopping every now and then to speak to a business man on whether they had seen the adult sized toddler. Rubbing her forehead, she knew she had to think like a child to find him. Just where would he want to travel to? Come on, come on! But she couldn’t get anything. She groaned. ”I’m too old for this kind of thing.” She whined, leaning against a light pole.
In fact, she was about to just “teleport” everywhere to get this over with if it wasn’t for the older gentleman who tapped her shoulder. He was still holding his wife’s hand as he spoke to her. ”Oh, there was a young man who looked a bit lost heading that way, Miss.” He pointed towards a large building she recognized as the university. She sighed visibly. ”Thank you so very much.”
So, she made her way towards the university. She didn’t quite run. If she had, it wouldn’t have been nearly as fast as she could have been. But, she made her way there. Evading strange looks from strangers. Oh, so she still was wearing that towel? And . . . she was sweaty again. Great. Another shower was in her future for sure.
But! There he was, chatting with another. It appeared as though he was acting how old he looked for once. Thank goodness for that. She quick stepped over as soon as the woman left, standing just before the white haired toddler-boy. Her hands were on her hip and right away she was in her “mother” tone again. Something she and he had come to hate. ”Just where did you think you were going?”

_____It was an awful day. His mind was worn by his work and his patience had fled about five minutes after he had woken. Kael was ready to get into a fight like he used to in elementary school. The thought set his fists afire with the audacious wanton for violence. But now was not the time and he had better things to do than get himself into trouble. The young man let out a long sigh as he leaned back in his chair for a moment. His office wasn't a very pleasant one, he thought, for a man of his standing within the company. It seemed as if no matter how hard he worked he would never get the recognition he deserved. That was unless his project was a success, which it was not as of yet. Cold eyes wandering, Kael set his gaze upon the prize of his work, his partner.
_____Shea occupied himself as he did whenever Kael was working: silently listening to music with his peculiar headphones. It always struck Kael as peculiar how the little creature could listen to music with such a cap as it was, but he never questioned because he didn't wish the waste the breath. There would always be things of Shea that Kael didn't understand and never took the time to understand. That was a truth that Kael was perfectly fine embracing, and that alone was something note-worthy. Finally taking his eyes from his partner, Kael stood up from his chair and pushed some papers into a drawer before saying strongly, "Come on Shea, it's about time to leave."
_____Ears suddenly brought to attention, the small cutemon looked up from his seat in the corner of the room. Tilting his head slightly in interest he hopped down from the chair enthusiastically and trotted over to the door, casting his big bunny gaze back towards his partner before daring to walk out. Kael gave Shea a slight nod and the digimon hopped up, turned the handle to the door, and led the way out. Kael followed quickly after his partner only once he had swiped up his coat from the back of his chair and sent an observatory glance around the office one more time to assure he wasn't forgetting anything. "Anything you wanted to do before we went home?" The small sentiment was somewhat startling to hear for Shea and the digimon stopped in his tracks.
_____"Are you sick?" Shea's voice held the disbelief he must have been feeling. The polite days had been so few and far between that Shea had even forgotten there were some sometimes and this was one of those occasions. "That sounded wrong. Uh... Nevermind. No. No I don't thing I needed anything, Kael." The short digimon shook it's hand in a wave of dismissal before continuing on towards the building exit. Kael watched for a moment with a blank expression on his face, but chose not to comment any further. They were almost out of the university and that alone was something that he knew Shea looked forward to every day. By the time the two reached the exit Kael was astonished to see how early he finished work that day.
_____So used to venturing outside in the dead of night after a long day of work, Kael almost had to double-take at the sunshine and soft warmth of a lunchtime hour. Shea glanced back to Kael with a somewhat skeptical look before saying, "I know what you're thinking. You're not really done all that early. The tire must be eating at your brain because you worked through the night into today. I know. I kept track." Kael looked down at his partner in disbelieve before realizing how tired he truly was. Shea must have been right. With a light yawn, Kael stretched and looked over the streets before him when something caught his eye. Certainly there must not have been anything too peculiar about the young man that caught his eye other than the fact that his head was covered in pure white hair.
_____White hair on a man so young was certainly odd, but a nagging feeling drove Kael to look further. The young man stopped a woman to say something and then cast his gaze over to the university. The cold gray eyes made Kael even more curious. And then he realized what was really causing him to stare so intently at the young man. "He seems out of place. Lost. Maybe he's new to London." Shea glanced up to Kael with bright eyes and looked back as someone else began to approach the very young man they were staring at. She seemed angry with him, but that wasn't the only odd thing about her. "I wouldn't go out in public wearing that. What a fool," Kael's soft voice was loud enough only to reach Shea's ears.
_____Shea squinted slight at the woman and shook his head. "She looks fine to me, but you humans have silly ways of obsessing over how you appear to others. Me? I'm fine just being 'naked'." Kael smirked slightly and tugged on the pink scarf that Shea wore, "Then what's this for?" Shea swatted Kael's hand away and drew up his scarf defensively. "I get cold. What are you putting the focus on me for. Aren't we watching those two weirdos?" Shea pointed casually towards the two they had been observing and sent his stare up to his partner once more. "Perhaps we should consider approaching them. Something of them makes me uneasy," Kael wasn't the type to admit such things so easily, but it was true and he felt as if he couldn't properly contain it.

Lucien felt himself losing the desires he had to explore when he first set out that morning. There was still so much he needed to know about this mystery school that made him so uneasy, but he wasn't sure how to go about learning any of it. The sour look on Lucien's face deepened the more he thought about it. Sudden movement from within the university caught the boy's eye though and he tried to reform his expression to a lighter one as a man and his digimon came from the building. He stopped just out of the entrance and Lucien realized that he was being observed. The child's eyes flitted to the ground as if he thought he had dropped something just so he wouldn't have to look at the man anymore. Something was wrong and Lucien had a feeling it was going to be a very weird, very long day.
Pushing up his sleeves, Lucien began to think about what he'd do if he were with his showmen buddies and some unsettling character began to stare him down. Laughing silently, the boy realized the answer would probably be 'Kick his ass, skinny!' which was what all his buddies said when anyone--asking for it or not-- deserved a good punch to the head. Just as he had decided to confront the mystery figure and his pink little digimon, Lucien heard a familiar voice that made his heart drop. Alister. Damn. Lucien had been caught much sooner than he had expected and that certainly took the fun right out of things.
As she stood before him he knew he should have started feeling bad, but he couldn't. A slight giggle bubbled up and soon Lucien was muttering, "What are you wearing? You look like you tumbled right out of a shower into your pajamas. And a towel? Silly silly Ally-kins, even I know it's not normal to go outside in that." He made a light gesture to her attire as his giggles calmed down. To a certain extent it made the young boy pleased to see she was so alarmed he could do some harm that she rushed out of the house quicker than she could change, but he wondered to what extent that could really be true.
It was really like a silent challenge, which was probably why Lucien pushed against Alister's rules so hard. He didn't know because, after all, he was still just a toddler. For a moment Lucien's gaze caught the man and his digimon, still watching intently, and his expression turned deadly serious. Grabbing Alister lightly by her forearm, Lucien leaned in and whispered, "Someone has been watching me. Over there, just outside of the university. I don't know what he's doing or why I'm so interesting to him." It was probably one of the things that Alister worried most about, someone catching Lucien in his web of lies, so he didn't really want to talk to her about a man taking particular interest in him and yet he felt he needed to anyway.
Lucien felt lost in a world that was not his own. People with their digimon partners wandered freely and Lucien wondered why it was he was born to be this confusing cross between two worlds. Alister still hadn't explained to him what he could do for their cause because he was 'too young' or 'too inexperienced'. The very memory of the thought made his blood boil. What was he to do? Sit in that apartment and wait for all the things they were supposed to be doing just to accomplish themselves? It was about time Lucien force Alister to let him in on everything. "I should go over there and tell that guy it's rude to stare!" The brash attitude that so clearly defined Lucien soaked through and seemed to overwhelm the unusual thoughtfulness that had just overcome him.

She didn’t understand what he was laughing at. My clothes . . . ? She blinked and then it clicked in. Oh. For a dragon that was over two thousand years old, she sure was forgetful of her appearance. She scratched her cheek lightly, somewhat embarrassed. That didn’t mean her frustration with the man sized boy had vanished. She was still mad at him. ”Maybe next time you should give me a warning before you leave like that.” She sighed and turned the other way, rubbing her forehead all the while. Children. Children. Even after all this time, she still wasn’t sure how to deal with them properly. Society changed like the wind. The things she had learned before wouldn’t be acceptable now.
Still, during all of those times, there was never one where it was considered normal to run out in one’s own pajamas . . . and a towel. Perhaps, she should have thought this one through before rushing out the door like some manic. ”Maybe next time you’ll be the one running to find me and I’ll be the one out here relaxing.” She said with a wry smile. The man-child was alright, so she was willing to relax for now. Take it easy. She might not be able to die, but she’d rather not live insanely stressed. ”At least you know it’s good not to wandering outside like this.” She muttered to herself quietly.
Her eyes widened in curiosity when her little brother pulled her close. As she listened, she could feel her ‘brow twitch, torn between acting like a mother cub and mauling the man or acting more like her calm and collective (pfft, what a joke!) self. Someone was watching them? Sure, she knew that they were in the area, but so near? This was exactly why she didn’t want him to explore on his own. What if they captured him? Yggdrasil wasn’t listening to her prayers at the moment, nor did she think he wanted too. They came too often. Too frequently. If she was Yggdrasil, she’d ignore it as well.
She moved back. No. She cleared her throat. ”No.” She told him in her “no-nonsense” tone. The jötunn’s instincts were to flee the area. She knew it wasn’t right to be here for too long. People who stared at them for too long were often a threat. Hopefully, it was just her odd clothing. At least, that’s what she would have thought, had he not mention that the man had been staring at him for some time. ”I’ll deal with it. Please, for Yggdrasil’s sake, act how you look.”
Alister looked to the blank space beside her, focusing on her illusion. The Agumon X. It was strange, having to control two bodies at once. She knew it would be for Lulu, but hopefully he had learned over the time a decent amount of how to do so. They couldn’t just leave with him staring at them. It was wrong. He could follow them. It was better to see what he wanted and maybe scare him off.
”We’ll confront him.” She teased in spite of the situation. ”Come on then.”
She walked up to the man, a playful smile danced on her lips. Of course, she looked rather insane with the way she was dressed, but the way she held herself . . . It was as if she demanded respect from those around her. This could be a bit intimidating. In fact, her digimon illusion looked as if it had its “feathers ruffled.” She waved at the Cutemon and the man who was staring at them. ”Like what you see?” She called with a light chuckle. ”As my little brother would say, ‘it’s rude to stare you know.’” She knew he would be a bit annoyed for stealing his line, but she didn’t care at the moment. Nagging from a six month old man was the least of her worries.

_____Kael couldn't help but smirk a little when even the white-haired young man began to laugh. Clearly he too thought that the woman was dressed peculiarly. Brought back to his thoughts once the laughs were had by the odd white-haired young man, Kael began to wonder how those two people knew each other. It certainly wasn't a chance meeting, for they appeared to share an understanding of each other and the woman had been searching the other out rather actively before. Shea too seemed a little perplexed by the issue, but finally lost interest in the waiting part and looked away. The digimon was no doubt concerned of what staring would make him look like.
_____Eyes narrowed in curiosity, Kael tried to understand why his mind wouldn't allow him to let this young man pass him by. What was so peculiar abut him and his female friend that sent alarms off in Kael's head? Sure his hair was an oddity and it was peculiar that the woman should be in such a rush that she'd go outside in... well, pajamas, but there felt like there was something so much deeper than that. Soon the white-haired one drew in the girl and conversed with her quietly. Had Kael been found out? Oh well, he would find a way to smooth the issue over as he had with so many before it. Thoughts were confirmed as the woman began to walk over, her partner by her side.
_____Kael hadn’t noticed the digimon before and his eyes lingered on the odd creature for a moment. Agumon? No it seemed to be a different breed than that, Kael noted silently. An interesting digimon for an interesting woman. "You're pretty!" Shea blurted after the woman finished speaking. His small bunny tail wagged a little and there was an awkward grin on his face. Kael rolled his eyes and muttered, "Forgive my jumpy little friend. He's a bit foolish when he encounters new people." The words were accompanied by a slight glare that took less than a couple seconds. Kael knew there was no amount of words that could express how much Shea embarrassed him.
_____"Your brother? Is that white haired gentleman there him then?" The question was somewhat loaded. Kael didn't think that the white-haired boy really looked much younger than the woman herself, but beyond that he noticed that they didn't look alike at all. Adopted brother and sister perhaps? His frown displayed his dissatisfaction plainly enough. Something was still bothering him about these two. "I suppose it is rather rude to stare though, so I must apologize. I didn't mean to offend." Kael's usual charming demeanor used to fool others most certainly wasn't the one he decided to use as he summoned the apology though and it lacked any sense of remorse. Shea took particular notice of it and shoved against his leg slightly.
_____Shea was enjoying new company, even if the company was irritated with Kael's rudeness. It wasn't very often that the little digimon got to really talk with others or meet new people, so he had secret hopes that he could make a new friend. And the lady was pretty to him, which was always a nice thing. Shea liked to be nice to pretty ladies especially because they seemed to like it when people treated them kindly. The little cutemon gripped onto Kael's pants with one hand, a silent plead for his partner to be nice from this point on. "He's a butt. I'm Shea and he's Kael. We just thought that his white hair was really different because it's not really a common attribute, you know?"
_____Even if Kael insisted on being a brute-ish 'gentleman', Shea could still be the shining example. His somewhat meek behavior dropped off with the prospect of new friends.

Lucien rolled his eyes. Alister always was such a spoil-sport. If he told her every time he wanted to sneak out he'd never see anything! The young boy wanted to throw some sort of rebuttal at his mother-sister, but she turned away. During that short period before he drew her in again he made mocking faces and stuck out his tongue at her. Jeez. It's like she was trying to prevent him from having any fun at all! She muttered a few other things he didn't really take into account as he thought his own things. A sinking sensation spread after he had pulled in his sister and she decided to cast him out of the equation all-together. That annoying tone popped up in her voice again too-- the one that told him to be good.
Waitwaitwait. Lucien got an incredulous look on his face as she said 'act how you look'. A long speech began to pour through his brain that tended to rush all in a circle. Circular arguments never worked with Alister. Just as Lucien was about to scream, 'I act how I look all the time, you're just being dumb!' Alister turned and began walking over towards the offending onlooker. Did that silly woman really think she was going to get to confront the man that was watching him without Lucien even sauntering over for a moment!? Well she had another thing coming, that was for sure! Lucien found himself pushing up his sleeves once more as he stormed over moments after Alister had begun conversation with the mystery man.
So not only did she have the nerve to brush Lucien off, she said exactly what he wanted to! Dear Yggdrasil, she was losing her mind. If there was one thing that Alister should have known about him it was that he must have his moments and when they were stolen he would rage and pout for days. DAYS. As soon as they got home, Lucien was going to have quite the conversation with her, oh yes, and she would rue the day she stole his moment. Rue it. And now he was mentally repeating himself, Lucien noted with a sour expression. Alister sure did know how to put him in a mood every time. Every single--- 'Stop repeating yourself!' Lucien thought to himself rather loudly.
By the time Lucien had pulled himself from his thoughts he realized that he hadn't completed the gap in-between himself and the two whom he originally started walking towards. Alister stealing his moment literally caused him to stop mid-stride. Rolling his eyes once more, Lucien finished making his way over and stopped next to his sister. By the time he had arrived over he realized that he didn't have his illusion digimon with him, probably because it was so awkward and difficult to be two things at once. With an awkward frown and a quick cover-up, Lucien looked around rapidly and whistled. After doing as much he made his illusion digimon waddle over from who-knows-where.
He faked a warm smile at the other him Gabumon thing and returned his attention to the matters at hand. The man had said something of Alister and him and faked an apology. That was stupid. This guy was rude rude rude. But then his digimon spoke up and the little pink bunny was so cute and nice! Lucien couldn't help but smile at it warmly. The little thing seemed more interested in Alister though, so he didn't say anything. As much as Lucien wanted to rant and lecture Alister about the right way to treat him, he decided to be silent for the time. If Lucien were to speak he'd probably complicate the matter and then receive some annoying talk from Alister later. Or he could be found out. The thought chilled him to the bone, enough to make him keep his mouth shut for now. Maybe he would talk up soon, but for now he knew that Alister would owe him one with his silence.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac26/nachtmare/Tables/alistertable_ab.png] She couldn’t help chuckling at the Cutemon’s response. It took all her restraint to keep from petting the little rabbit like digimon. Cutemon really did live up to its name. ”Aw ~ Why thank you.” She grinned, before turning her attention back to the Cutemon’s partner. The human that had been staring at them earlier. ”It’s no problem, really. I’m quite flattered to tell you the truth.” She said good-naturedly. It was amusing to see. While many digimon and their partners are similar, these two did not appear that way. It was sort of refreshing, adding a greater dimension to the whole digimon/human partner aspect.
But there was something else. Although she was sure that their bond was still strong, she sensed that it was weakening. There was something off about it that she wasn’t sure she liked. Everything about this place always felt so wrong. The golden dragon wasn’t sure what to make of it. Sure, she had heard rumors over the years, but she had thought that it closed off on itself. She hadn’t stayed in London long enough, for more than half a century, to be sure though. Rumors, while most often false, were a good way to hide the truth, no one would question it. She would check it out later, most likely when she was done scolding him about leaving. No doubt that would take some time, knowing that he will be the same and try to scold her too. An amusing fight. Hopefully a certain turtle didn’t join in.
”Righto.” She answered. ”That he is.” She was still grinning all the while, watching the perplexed boy stare at the two of them. The dragon knew that they didn’t look too much alike and wondered just what he thought they were. Lovers? Now that she would have trouble stopping herself from laughing about. She took his apology the same way he apologized. Oh how she missed the British wit. She noted how Cutemon bumped into him. Did this mean he was like this to all the ladies? What a smarmy git! Not that she should be saying anything. ”None taken.”
Her illusion, the Agumon X, as intimidating as he was, toned it down a few notches. It appeared calmer than it had a few seconds ago, as it was gauging her emotions. Alister chuckled lightly at Shea’s introduction and decided she would do the same. She made her illusion talk. ”I’m Bane and my partner’s Remy.” She wasn’t quite sure what to make of them yet, but she had to be cautious. While Alister might not be her true name, it was the name she was living as at the moment. It was always such a pain to change it when someone nearly catches her trail. ”The two behind us are Lucifer, the Gabumon X, and Damien, my partner’s brother.” Alister hid a grin, knowing just why she’d pick those names for them. Even if she knew that he had just summoned that illusion just seconds before. She would have to teach him better control and train later.
She thought Shea was one of the most innocent things she’d seen running around in a long while. The only ones she knew that were small were far from cute. For example, her child form, that illusion she held. The little dragon was a fierce fighter and it only got stronger as it evolved further. ”I don’t blame you. He got it from our father’s side. It’s kind of cool, don’t you think? Very few people have it, but it just means he gets sunburned easily, when that happens he’s a bit of pain to deal with then.”
Ah, she nearly had forgotten about her own state of dress. The pajamas weren’t exactly the warmest thing to head outside in. She pulled her towel off her shoulders and wrapped it around her waist to cover her freezing legs. ”Forgive my . . . pajamas.” She said ruefully. ”I get rather nervous when my brother decides to wander off like that. Like the white tiger, many of his kind are hunted down.” She joked. It felt funnier, yet all the while sadder, knowing that it was true. ”I just couldn’t bear to leave him alone in the wild concrete jungle that is London.” She was going to have to pray to keep Lulu quiet now. He must hate her for her theatrics.

_____To say that this was simply suspicious would be a horrendous understatement. Kael felt something off, something wrong, that these characters weren't telling him. The young man looked lost within himself as he began to walk over, but came to a stop. With a wry frown, Kael shot him a quick look before focusing back on the woman. She was polite enough and didn't seem too bothered by his earlier staring, but the feelings and vibes he was getting from her still left his mind running unbearably fast. Shea acting as he was, suddenly so full of spunk and gall, left Kael even more frustrated. Shea's sudden outgoing behavior wasn't appreciated, but the creature was being rather charming so Kael decided to let it go for the moment.
_____If Kael could win these two over then it would help him figure out what was bothering him. Or at least he hoped it would work out that way. When the young woman's digimon began to speak, Kael looked down to the creature with a skeptical stare. It wasn't a shy creature, that much was easy to tell. In fact it seemed rather basic in terms of personality. Kael shook his head for a moment, realizing that he must have been reading too much into things. All of his thinking made it harder for him to see what was right before him sometimes. Remmy. Bane. Lucifer. Damien. Kael took in the names at looked at the respective characters to log them in his mind.
_____While he could have said something, Kael chose to remain silent until Remmy began again, hoping the rest of Shea's ridiculous comment would be explained in time. And it was. She spoke of how it was an attribute she got from their father. The look of the two siblings still bothered Kael though, as he couldn't make any familial connections in appearances. It was possible it was just his nit-picking nature, also he had seen siblings that had few to no appearance connections, so he decided to focus on what to say. Before he was able to formulate anything the young woman picked back up on what she was saying, elaborating on why it was she was dressed in such a manor.
_____Like the white tiger. Kael's gaze narrowed for but a moment. He hadn't heard anyone use such a description, but he did suppose that white tigers were hunted for their pelts. The worst that Kael could imagine happening to this young man however is that perhaps some idiots would want to beat him for being different. Even that seemed rare enough to him though. Then it occurred to him that this man, surely in his twenties, should have been able to care for himself. He didn't look to have any disabilities and yet this woman seemed to feel the urge to protect him like... a baby.
_____Shaking his head slightly, Kael took a light breath. Shea was still smiling and fawning over the newcomers, looking over the digimon, then the people, then back again. "His white hair is an interesting tribute to be sure, though I must admit I've never before met a young man with white hair. It's... awe inspiring." Kael looked to Damien with a wry grin and took in his soft gray eyes. It was like he was drained of color save that bright red vest. "You must be very close with your sister to have her worrying so much for you. I suppose I am a bit envious of such a familial connection."
_____Shea looked up to Kael in wonder. The words caused him to frown slightly. The cutemon's eyes betrayed his worry for Kael. Normally the man would never reveal something so casually, but he still said as much and didn't fall into a rage directly after. Shea stared at Kael, trying to read him, for a few more moments before looking back to the newcomers. "So then, Damien here is the really irresponsible one. Don't you know it's mean to run off and not tell someone where you're going?" The comment was said with a singsong joking manor that kept a wide smile across cutemon's face. The digimon was really just trying to focus on Damien so he wouldn't say anything awkward to Remmy.

To say that he was simply flustered would be a lovely understatement. It was bad enough that Ally-kins was such a... a... stupid-head, but now this business with the names?! It never failed to astound Lucien how, even though she begged him to be good all the time, Alister would still insist of pushing his buttons rather excessively. One of these days he was gonna snap and go absolutely insane, screaming the secrets of the universe for everyone to hear. Or at least he wanted to. The only problem remained that he actually didn't know the secrets of the universe and the secrets he did know would hurt him as much as they'd hurt her if he started spouting them off for all to hear. His head was swimming with all sorts of frustrations and childish feelings that he almost felt like falling over, but he continued to hold himself rigidly enough.
What was really bothering him began to be the interest that Lucien noticed Alister putting into the little pink bunny. So dumb. Why did she look so interested in the little thing at so frustrated with him all the time anyway? Lucien wasn't that bad. He scowled slightly and thought about how much Alister must like blowing things out of proportion. Maybe she was secretly just trying to get him to brood to the point of snapping. No, that didn't really sound like her he supposed with a deeper scowl. If only he could just assume she was being a malicious person it would really make this whole issue so much easier on him. Lucien rolled his eyes slightly at his thought process. It was times like this, when he got lost within his own head, that the young child-man wondered if he really was nothing more than a... baby. The thought made his whole face scrunch up for a moment.
There were other things he needed to put his mind to, Lucien reminded himself as he looked over to Alister briefly. She didn't seem shy at all around these people and he wondered for a moment if it was because she had so much experience. Lucien was still a child, but Alister was ancient. Not in a bad way really, though he imagined saying that to her and the look on her face after and it was pretty amusing. She probably wouldn't see it in any positive light. Rather contented in his own mind, Lucien realized he wasn't playing attention to his surrounding, yet again. This was far too common for the boy and he could already imagine the lecture he'd be getting if he was too continually careless. Maybe being a kid was easier than pretending to be an adult.
Soft gray eyes flitted to the man, Kael, as Lucien listened to what the other had to say of him. The admiration of his hair somewhat unsettled Lucien, but it was over soon enough so he suffered through the awkward feelings the best he could. He opened his mouth to respond, but then Kael got on the subject of familial ties. Lucien's face went red. Not just that he was embarrassed but he was also scared, a sensation he hated feeling without exception, because of how keen this man seemed to be. Like he was looking right through Lucien and seeing everything he was trying so hard to keep within, where it would be safe. Luckily the digimon began to speak and Lucien could feel the pressure lift a little. Breath began to come a little easier, though Lucien knew he must not have looked entirely calm from the exchange.
A slight look of surprise began to cover up his fear though at the cutemon's words. "M-Mean?" The word tumbled out of his mouth clumsily and he knew he looked foolish. Blushing a little, Lucien laughed slightly and muttered, "I guess I never considered I was being mean to my sister. Selfish of me. Jeez I should really work on that." A few more unsettling laughs poured forth before Lucien could silence himself. Now he was just being silly. Looking to Alister he tried to summon a convincing smile for the ridiculous thing he was about to do for show. "Forgive me?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] | [atrb=background,http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac26/nachtmare/Tables/alistertable_ab.png] Oddly enough, while she did feel the tension, she appeared to pay no notice to it. Alister was used to scrutiny from others. This man was no different. He was a scientist, judging by the lab coat, so it was only natural for him to be curious. If he wasn’t that type, he wouldn’t be a good scientist, now would he?
She was, pretty much, subtly suggesting that it was just a simple case of albinism. The light coloration of hair and light grey eyes were common symptoms of this. Completely believable by her standards. Besides, nowadays, kids came up with all sorts of strange hair colors. Hell, she’d seen one girl with all the colors of the rainbow for her hair. It was the strangest thing she’d ever seen. White isn’t so bad in comparison to theirs. In fact, she’d call it normal. The smell of chemicals from those dyes were never good to her poor nose anyways.
”Never ~ ? Well, now you have.” She grinned, appreciating the fact that he isn’t digging into the science of it all. That was always a bother to explain. Too bad she isn’t able to block memories or something like that. How fun it would be. The only regret she might have is doing such a thing to the poor cutemon. (She was not biased to digimon at all, of course not.)
Still, she really didn’t like the way he was staring at them. The only thing that was bad about scientists was that they asked too many questions. There was always such a thing as too much knowledge. You tend lose empathy. Thinking of things as statistics rather than individuals. It was unfortunate. It wasn’t … humane, she supposed. Perhaps she would have to ask Lulu to dye his hair now or something. Maybe wear a cap at the very least when he went out. She doubt that he’d like dying his hair anyways, plus it was easier.
She snapped back her attention to the present when she heard that last part. Alister wondered just what he meant by that. It sounded a bit odd to her. Somewhat more scientific than anything really. The Amarillo Dragon wasn’t quite sure what she should make of it. She silently noted Shea’s reaction, worry. There was something off with this young man, she knew before hand. Now, she narrowed it down. His family. Alister must have unintentionally triggered a bad spot.Terrific really. She thought irritably.
She found it utterly adorable to what cutemon had said next. Oh, if she was able to, she’d hug and squeeze that child level digimon to death (not really). Cutemon really did live up to their name. He really didn’t have to say that for her at all.
When Lucien asked for her forgiveness, Alister was clearly stunned. Now, it probably was because Kael and Shea were around for him to do such a thing, but it was still appreciated greatly. Her ego needed some boosting. She grinned wryly, before messing up the boy’s white hair. ”Apology accepted.”

_____As usual, his partner didn't get any less frustratingly annoying. When the small creature spoke the way he did, jokingly while still seeming to scold Damien, it made Kael suddenly and harshly aware of what he had just done. Showing that sliver of emotion to these people was foolish and he promised he wouldn't do something so neglectful again if he could help it. The reactions to what he had accidentally let out didn't seem pronounced enough for him to actually feel any concern though so he tried to brush it off and pay attention to the rest of the conversation. Shea seemed good at captivating the attention of the siblings though, making one try and correct his ways while seemingly amusing the other with his... cuteness. Kael still had a distaste for cute things, which was a bit pathetic considering his digimon was a cutemon.
_____Whenever he thought about such things though it often reminded Kael how it used to be when he was a child. Cutemon was attacked for being what he was and Kael often suffered because of it. Back then he must have felt concern for his partner, but now he couldn't afford such emotions. Especially not while he was working on project ELLA. No scientist had the luxury of feeling anything for their experiment, let alone concern. The healing capabilities of Cutemon really were worthy of study though and there was no way avoiding it since his boss had discovered. Kael didn't want to give up his position in DEATHS to find out at least.
_____It seemed though that Cutemon had inspired Damien to look at his ways differently, as if he was confused that he might have been registered as mean for his actions, and the boy turned to his sister. Forgiveness. He asked for forgiveness as he stood there. Real or fake it was a touchy subject for Kael just as family was. He didn't show it this time, but Kael was almost frustrated. More-so when he noticed how shocked Remmy looked before she messed up her brother's hair and accepted his apology. Asking forgiveness was foolish, but to actually accept was even more foolish in Kael's eyes. If someone had done something to wrong you then you shouldn't just give it up so easily. Kael wouldn't.
_____"It would seem my partner have taken up enough of your time. Perhaps it is time we let you be on your way," Kael spoke smoothly, not betraying any emotions during it. Shea looked up to his partner confused, not quite sure why he'd want to tear them away from these interesting strangers all of a sudden. The digimon knew that Kael had some interest in them for some reason, so to suddenly brush them off left Shea a little more than confused. The cutemon scrunched up his nose in thought and waited a few moments before saying, "Kael is probably right. We have things to do and you must have plans as well. Or at least maybe you'd just like to get home to change." The cutemon grinned big when he said the last part of his sentence.

His apology seemed to do just the trick, surprising Alister. She may have known it was a fake, but it still honestly surprised her regardless, which was good. Lucien wanted to startle her. That was he wanted to up until the point that she mussed up his hair. "Hey! NO!" Lucien barked, swatting at Alister until she retracted her hand. A frown made its way across Lucien's face as he brought his hands up to smooth over the hair that Alister had just ruffled. Did she really have to do something so childish in front of the creepy man and his cute partner?
Alister always treated him like... like... a child. The concept made the boyish man want to go on a rampage, but that wasn't very adult-like so he chose to contain it. This time. Next time though, boy oh boy, was she in for some serious trouble. Lucien started to plan out his deviousness, still smoothing over his hair with a mostly blank expression. He would have to wait until it was just he and Alister to do something really good though. Adults weren't all that good at plotting and getting someone back so it would totally give him away if he did it when adults were around. Not to mention they'd all get super jealous.
And suddenly it seemed as if the opportunity would appear sooner than he thought. The two had things to do? They didn't seem to be in any rush before. Lucien narrowed his eyes at little as he observed Kael. It was probably a lie, but if it would get him to leave then Lucien wouldn't complain. He still had a really bad feeling about Kael and it wouldn't change no matter how cute his partner would act. And he was acting pretty cute. Alister seemed pretty smitten with the creature which annoyed Lucien. He was way cuter than that when he was Gabumon. Way cuter.
"So then what will we do Remmy?" Lucien asked, looking over to his sister. She was probably going to suggest they go home if they parted way with these peculiar strangers, which he wasn't exactly looking forward to. "I don't want to go home though. I mean, poor Lucifer is bored!" That was his cue to make the fake partner of his jump up and throw himself on Alister's legs. There was even a fake whimpering coming from the creature, which Lucien was pretty proud of.
