[atrb=height,430,true][atrb=width,604,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,10,true]His head was aching. Izzy tried not to dwell on it as he focused on his computer. If Izzy were a normal child he might be disappointed he couldn't go play out in the snow and perhaps he'd even test his parents limits, instead he was sitting quietly at his computer testing limits of another sort entirely. All things digital provided Izzy such a pleasant escape normally, but as things progressed it seemed they worked less and less. Finally with a sigh he sat back and put his hands behind his head. Since he was trapped in the hotel he might as well try his best to enjoy it.
Tai had yet to appear though. His friend claimed he would be back soon when he rushed off, though he didn't inform Izzy where he was going in his dramatic rush. Since Tai left Izzy could feel his headache rushing back so fast it almost hit him like a baseball bat to the face. It was getting harder and harder to handle the peculiar headaches, but somehow Tai got through it. The more he thought about it the more Izzy wondered how Tai did it anyway. It seemed before like he would lose it from his headaches, yet he was better than ever now. It would have been frustrating if Izzy didn't care so much for his friend's well-being. In the end it only mattered that Tai was well and continued to make Izzy feel better when they were together. In that Izzy counted on his friend.
Ghostly Izzy could head the voice that always seemed to dwell in the very heart of his headaches. "Where is Tai?" Izzy flinched slightly at the sound, knowing that no one else could hear the voice. It would look peculiar if he just started speaking aloud, especially considering he was sitting in the lobby of the hotel waiting to be guided to his room. Actually maybe that was what Tai was doing. 'He's probably getting the key to the free room that was offered. I hadn't put too much thought to it. I couldn't.' The last sentence was thought with a certain amount of contempt because somehow Izzy was beginning to connect his headaches with the voice.
The trembling voice seemed sad and muttered, "Yes I see. I'll be quiet." It was difficult for Izzy to hear the voice. He wanted to just cling to Tai and be rid of it all, but he couldn't be. He actually began to feel remorse for upsetting the voice. It was possible that the mysterious voice in his head didn't want to hurt him. But Izzy didn't understand why he was humoring it. Izzy had always been a very logical young man and every time he thought about the voice and how he just accepted it as a part of his reality it drove him further towards the edge. 'I am sorry,' the child thought wearily.

[atrb=height,430,true][atrb=width,604,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,10,true]Key in hand, Tai made his way back to where Izzy was. It would be kind of nice to spend some time with his friend so he wasn't really disappointed about being snowed in. Izzy seemed to enjoy time together too and didn't often want to go on adventures or anything crazy like that so Tai hoped he was okay with it too. Spinning the key on the keyring Tai made his way through the hotel. The staff had been kind enough to show him where the room was when they handed off the Key so that Tai wouldn't get lost when taking Izzy there.
Tai tried pretty hard not to look like an ass in front of Izzy. More often than not the young man made a fool of himself everywhere, but with Izzy it was different. Izzy was a smart young man who always made Tai feel a little insecure, but Tai wanted to be smarter and cooler for him. It would have made Tai insanely happy to hear Izzy was ever impressed by him. Even the thought made the boy's mind race with happy 'what if' thoughts. If he was smarter he'd try to get up to Izzy's level in computer stuff so that they could talk about nerd things, but Tai was still sort of a beginning compared to Izzy. But the orange-haired boy made a bunch of people look like amateurs, not just Tai.
He arrived back in the lobby and paused at the sight of Izzy. As usual, the boy had his laptop open before him even though it didn't look like he could entirely focus on it. That concerned Tai. The headaches that Izzy was getting were usually something he didn't want to talk about, but Tai knew it was a subject that they really should be touching on even if Izzy didn't like it. With a deep breath Tai vowed to push the subject later in the night. Walking up, Tai brandished the key in hand with a signature smile and said, "Got the key to the room. How are you feeling?"

[atrb=height,430,true][atrb=width,604,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,10,true]He tried not to dwell on it, but Izzy began to feel worse and worse about thinking so harshly towards the voice. The young computer wiz was suddenly terrified that it could mean something important. That perhaps the voice was really just someone checking up on him from afar with some advanced technology he had yet to understand. Though the instance of paranoia passed when Izzy reminded himself there wasn't a piece of technology out that he didn't know down to the very last circuit. He prided himself on his technical savvy after all. In the end he was still just trying to come up with a logical explanation for something he told himself he couldn't be logical with a thousand times over. In the end he told himself it was an emotional matter.
Oh no, Izzy couldn't fool himself that the headaches weren't real and could be resolved with some therapy, but he was beginning to think that the voice and the feelings of paranoia might be. Since it had really begun to set in he had been reading up on the matters carefully, hoping that there would be some sort of information to be his salvation. It was possible that he was something like Schizophrenia, but then Izzy thought he was remarkably clear-headed for a mental patient. Wait. Was that a part of it too? Was he just under the false impression that he was actually a level-headed young man? The mere thoughts made his head pound even worse than it was and he brought a shaking hand to his head. 'I don't even know what the hell you are...' He thought bitterly.
And in a burst it was gone. The head-splitting pain cleared up like a fresh breeze blew through the room and Izzy knew Tai was almost back. In fact when he looked up be caught sight of his messy-haired friend. Key in hand, Tai smiled his victory and then asked how he was doing. The boy should have known the question was coming considering the headache, but he still didn't feel like handling it at all. "I'm fine. Come on let's go get settled. We'll probably be trapped in this place through tomorrow if the storm doesn't let up soon." Izzy closed his laptop and stood, feeling a tad bit woozy once he first got to his feet.
The slightest of headaches arose, one that was weak and hardly affected Izzy anymore, and the voice came back again. "He's just trying to look out for you. You should try not to lie." It made Izzy falter a little bit to hear the voice so clearly, as when there was a pounding headache in the background it became damn near impossible to really hear anything clearly. He caught himself before it became a problem and chose to ignore the voice for now. He needed to focus on Tai. "Come on, let's just get moving. I'm feeling a little fidgety."
