Why were they here? They really didn't know... Did it bother them? Naw... The pair entered here in hopes of getting a nice room for the night, and relaxing for a change. Tsukasa was pretty excited to be able to slack off like this. In fact, the boy had to stop himself from running straight to his room.
"Here it is," the Japanese boy beamed, looking at the number on the door. It read 108. Tsukasa paused to think for a second, "Mayyyybe we should get a different room," he suggested.
"What for?" Gomamon questioned, being held in Tsukasa's free hand, while the other held the key to room 108. "What's so special about '108'?" Tsukasa sighed, deciding not to explain one of the most glaring numbers known to be associated with trouble. He slipped the key in the door, and opened it up. "See? Perfectly normal!" Gomamon assured.
Tsukasa nodded, and took a step inside, leaving the door open for a moment. The room was simple, yet cozy. A pair of beds over in the corner, a small television setting on a support stand from the wall. There was a small bathroom off of a small hallway, and then the carpet was a smooth, dark red in color.
"I guess this place isn't so bad," Tsukasa grinned, pocketing his free hand, key included, and took a step forward onto the small, welcoming mat about ten feet from the door. His feet pressed against it.
The sound of a door opening echoed, and Tsukasa looked down. There was no more welcoming mat. Time seemed frozen for a moment as Tsukasa glared at Gomamon, "I blame you for this."
The screams of both Gomamon and Tsukasa sounded, no doubt able to be heard outside the open door to room 108. The pair found themselves flying down what seemed to be a round tube. It was dark as could be, "What kind of hotel is this!?" Tsukasa screamed as he and Gomamon rocketed downward.
They reached the end of the tunnel, and were shot into the air, and fell back down into the ground with a heavy thud. Gomamon flew from Tsukasa's arms, landing a few feet away. The pair had swirling eyes, and were groaning in pain. "What a ride~!" Gomamon declared, looking back at Tsukasa, "Let's go again!" he grinned widely.
"Let's not," Tsukasa replied, standing up once again. He dusted himself off, glancing around the area. They were in some sort of basement? The walls were a dull gray, and the floor was a bit darker, but the entire thing seemed to be made of cement. "I wonder what other sorts of traps we'll find down here..."
((OOC: If anyone joins the thread, feel free to get creative with the traps down in the basement of room 108.))

Do I have to? [atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=border,0,true] "Stupid snow...stupid mountains...stupid everything..." he grumbled. It wasn't fair! Why did he have to stay inside this hotel? It looked perfectly good outside....save for the fierce winds and wild snow. He would've been perfectly fine anyways. Anthony pouted. It just wasn't fair. He was going to be 10, so why couldn't he go outside?! He saw some other big kids go out in the snow so why?
"Because you're prone to getting ill, and they have someone accompanying them."
Tony rolled his eyes. Did he have to have an answer to everything? The voice whom he dubbed "Alfred" had been taking care of him for about a year. And he acted like he knew anything and everything. No voice in his head could have that much smarts! In his opinion, it was just plain impossible. "And I suppose you'd be able to go out too?" he questioned. He normally had conversations like this, but he didn't care. So he was talking out loud. He had a set of earphones, so it looked like he was talking to someone. Perfectly normal talking to a voice in your head.
"You only said that out of spite didn't you?" Alfred replied.
"Yup." was the one worded reply. Alfred sighed. He'd been happy that the hotel decided to accommodate he and Tony with a room free of charge, but sometimes, the child was too much to deal with on some days. Some such as this with being snowed in. Tony currently had the room key in his hand. Room 108. Something seemed odd about that number, but the Hawkmon didn't think of it any, so he didn't bother telling. No sense in freaking out the kid over a feeling that could be nothing.
Tony finally arrived at his room after a slow walk. He turned the key inside the knob, opening the door. The room seemed pretty much normal. Big T.V, even bigger bed (remember, he's pretty short), and a good view. The child yawned loudly, attempting to cover his mouth. He heard a click, like a door opening. He looked down and screamed.
During the trip, Tony had been screaming out of joy, while Alfred was screaming out of fear. The ride down the tube eventually ended with the 9 year old landing on his butt. It was sore, but he didn't care. "That was awesome! Let's do that again!"
"Let's not. I think I'm gonna be sick..."
"You're a voice. How do you get sick?" the child retorted, raising an eyebrow. To anyone else, it looked like he was talking to himself.

Tsukasa looked over towards the pipe he and Gomamon had fallen out of not long ago. The sounds of of a scream were coming from it, and then, a little kid plopped out. He hit the ground on his bottom, wanting to do that again. Then... he seemed to be arguing with... himself.
"You know what they say about people that talk to themselves..." Gomamon whispered. Tsukasa nodded, "But he is just a kid," Gomamon added. "I don't see any harm in keeping him around."
"You're also the one that said there was no harm in coming into room 108," Tsukasa reminded bitterly. Gomamon ignored, and he and Tsukasa turned towards the younger kid. "Hey kid... what are you doing here?" he asked, squatting down before him.
"I think we should go exploring," Gomamon added, now laying on top of Tsukasa's head, letting his flippers drape over each side of his partner's face.
"Uh... Yeah, go waltzing around a creepy, abandoned basement after we got here from falling down a trap door?" Tsukasa asked with a raised eyebrow. "Hell no."
"Awe, is little Tsukasa scared?" Gomamon asked in a mocking, babyish tone.
"Yes." Tsukasa replied confidently. "Remember, it takes a real man to admit his faults." Gomamon sighed.

Do I have to? [atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=border,0,true]
Anthony turned around to see someone else. A kid that was way taller than him. With a giant weird seal thing right beside him. How could he respond? Oh yeah. "I fell down through a tube and ended up here. I really wanna do that again..." he finished with a dreamy look on his face. That ride was fun, even though his bottom hurt like no tomorrow. His green eyes gazed toward the....what was it again?
"Gomamon."
Okay, Gomamon. After staring at it for a few seconds, Tony stood, wiping his clothes of any dust he might have picked up. "He has a point. Exploring in this place could be pretty awesome. Or are you scared?" Tony taunted. He had a sly look on his face that would scare most adults. That face didn't belong on a child. That's why he loved doing it in the first place. Right then, he remembered something. His hands flew up to his neck. Phew. The headphones were still there and working. He wouldn't know what he might have done if he broke those.
"Your mother might reprimand you for one thing."
Why did he have to be right all the time? "You have a point..."the child grumbled to himself. "So, shall we go exploring? This place looks pretty neat!" He exclaimed with a big smile on his face. How could anyone say no?
"No. Let's just stay here and wait until someone finds us."
"But I don't wanna! If anything, I wanna use that tube again!"

Tsukasa asked with a confused expression. He scratched his head. Great, this kid was a keeper. "Don't you have parents around, or something?" He cringed at the frightening look that the kid gave him. He shivered slightly.
"Oh, stuff it," Gomamon insisted, jumping down from Tsukasa's back, offering a flipper. "Name's Gomamon, and this is Tsukasa. He's a bit of a wimp, but he isn't all that bad. What's your name, kiddo?" Tsukasa sighed, scratching the back of his head.
The boy still wanted to ride that slide again, and Gomamon wholeheartedly agreed. Tsukasa wasn't up for either option. Explore, or take the frightening ride again. But what was a man to do...? Exploring would obviously lead to trouble... Staying here, though, would get them nothing.
He eventually groaned, pushing his hands into his pockets. "Alright, alright, fine... We'll go exploring. But only to find a way out of here," he added quickly. "And at the first sign of trouble, we run straight away. Understood?" he looked firmly between Gomamon and the boy with them.
Tsukasa decided to lead the way. He strolled down the dark and creepy hallway before them, cursing his luck for being caught in here in the first place. He didn't notice it immediately, but the hall was quite a lot wider than normal, and had a slight incline... What other kids of trouble could they possibly find?
A low rumbling came in reply, and Tsukasa cursed his curious mind. "Great, now what?" Gomamon asked, glancing back whilst riding on Tsukasa's shoulder. His eyes widened, and his jaw dropped. "We got trouble..." he said sheepishly.
"You think?!" Tsukasa demanded. A huge boulder--a freakin' bolder!--was flying after them inside the hall. Tsukasa bolted around, and immediately grabbed Anthony's hand, "Run!" he ordered, guiding him along. He'd carry the kid if he had to, he just hoped he could keep up. "We're gonna be street pizza!" Tsukasa wailed.
"I think you mean hallway-pizza," Gomamon added unhelpfully. Tsukasa's glare shut him up, and they continued running as quickly as possible. That bolder wasn't letting up though.

Do I have to? [atrb=border,0,true] | [atrb=border,0,true]
"Nope. Mom's not here at the moment. Just you, me, and the talking seal." Anthony replied with a wide smile on his face. Of course that trip was neat. He looked back up to the tube. If only he could fly back up and do it again..."Not gonna happen. I won't have you doing dangerous stuff." Tony frowned, crossing his arms. He always had to ruin his dreams. Even ones that wouldn't come true unless he wished for it. Or he had a genie.
The child looked back at the talking seal. He'd introduced himself and the big kid. Before Al could tell him to reply back, he spoke. Some of the things he said were beat into the child's brain through constant nagging from Al and his parents. "The name's Anthony. You can call me Tony if you'd like." he said politely with a small bow. Another grin graced the nine year old's face. They were going to explore! "Whoo!" he cheered, jumping for joy. Running at the first sight of trouble was always something Alfred told him. Stay out of trouble, don't do this, don't do that, blah, blah, blah.
"I care for you, which is why I nag. Get it?" the voice replied.
"Got it." Tony muttered to himself. He immediately began walking, following Tsukasa with his arms behind his head. As they traversed through, Tony noticed the hallway began going down by a bit. He didn't think of it any since they could be going deeper down. Alfred on the other hand didn't think as such. The voices thoughts were confirmed when a low rumbling sound pierced the silence.
"Run!"
"No need to tell me that!" The child screamed as he started running for his dear life. That boulder looked like it could squash him without even trying! His legs were so short, so he couldn't keep up with the big guy. If only he was small enough to be on someone's shoulder! The two (one with a seal) kept running and running as quick as they could.
