"You frustrate me beyond belief sometimes," Andii muttered as she stormed about the castle. There was nothing to take her attention from that frustrating beast at the moment, which only made her even more upset. Deimi was off somewhere, seemingly brooding over something, and Andii was left alone. Now was one of the times she wouldn't mind being ordered about, but it was just her luck to find that there was nothing for the Digi|Destined to do this particular day. The lavish scene around her hardly brightened her mood either, which was odd for her.
"So then what are you being so stormy about?" Salamon's soft feet barely made a sound on the perfect polished crystalline ground. She was sitting awkwardly on the first step of the stairs, looking somewhat stark past her furry little face. Deimi blinked a few times and tilted her head just slightly, completely in contrast with her mood beyond her generally cute appearance. "You're bitchy at me because I didn't pay attention right? So I'm paying attention now. Vent away, oh queen of the dark."
Andii wrinkled her nose and looked away, appearing disgusted. "That face doesn't suit you, you sourpuss. Or should I say sourpup?" She smirked slightly at her own comment, amused with how easy it was to tease Deimi. Certainly they did have a positive relationship or they wouldn't still be together, but they always tended to seem outwardly harsh. At least most of the time. Andii's hands unconsciously moved up to the ribbon she had tied about her hair and tightened it just slightly, moving the bow just right without really putting any thought into the action.
"Ohoho, you're so clever," Deimi laughed dryly and scowled deeply at her partner. Over her time with Andii, Deimi had come to learn that she got closer by prodding back and being just as cruel. If she was mean- or just indifferent- then Andii still held her near at night and petted her when she wasn't feeling well. It was a silent affection that was traded for this dark mood, which didn't seem fair in hindsight, but she wouldn't argue. In the end Deimi had everything that she needed and she wasn't about to contest it because she couldn't be some emotional basket-case. The digimon never did enjoy being overly emotional. It seemed silly, especially since she'd observed Andii being that way occasionally. Or more than occasionally. "I'm going to go take a nap. You tired me." She let out a soft huffing noises and padded off up the stairs without another word.
Andii didn't have anything to say in return. She'd been especially distant to Deimi lately, so the little dog had a right to rush off in times like this. Now it would be time to find someone else to distract herself from her issues. The day had been cruel to her thus far and Andii had left all of her 'tools' in the real world. "Where's someone when you need them?" Her version of need was much different than normal need though, so it really was far too demanding. She pushed back some of her blue tinted hair and gazed off down the hall with her pure black eyes, feeling somewhat angry, but mostly just lonely.

A small smirk found itself firmly on her lips as she stared at who had just passed her. The younger girl hadn't seen her, which was quite strange considering that she wasn't trying to this time. She found Andii to be a rather amusing one. Truly, there was no other chosen child like her or a digimon partner like Salamon. They often didn't get along and just how long have they been together now? It must have been quite sometime. Fate, herself, had been with her own digimon partner for a few years now. Speaking of him . . .
"How strange. You're letting her get away?"
Lopmon said quietly from the top of her hat. His ears covered her own as they wrapped around her chin acting as another "hat" for her to wear. Fate didn't say anything to this and watched as Salamon finally retreated. It was then when she made her move towards the younger child.
"Fate, what ar-"
The sudden movement tugged at the bunny monster, nearly causing him to fall of and land somewhere behind Fate. He used his ears as a parachute to drastically muffle the sound of his landing. Lopmon knew that she wouldn't have liked it if the younger girl spotted Fate immediately.
So, Fate snuck up behind the pale haired girl, wrapping her arms around her comfortably. She was prepared to dodge any punch or attack the other would pull. Anyone would be startled if someone suddenly wrapped their arms around them, at least that is what she had learned through observing. Her smirk never faded though as she did this. "So, Mammon, tell me what ails you." She said in a low whisper. Fate had refereed to her as Mammon, the demon who signified greed, just as this child before her was the chosen child of greed.
Just a bit away from them, Lopmon wondered if he should interfere. There was no doubt in his mind that Fate was looking for trouble once again. She didn't have much to do at the moment and bothering anyone she could find seemed to be a hobby of hers. That and writing in her journals detailing everyone she has ever talked to that she doesn't allow even him read at times. Whatever would happen, it couldn't be too bad, even though he did feel bad for letting Andii entertain Fate for a while.

The sensation of arms wrapping about her was normally a happy one, but it brought a slight scowl to Andii's face as she quickly came to the realization of just who it was who committed said act. Fate. It did, in all honesty, surprise her enough to make her shake a little, but she refused to overreact. That was not how Andii worked. Normally the young woman would quest for as long as she needed to attain affections from others, such as any form of physical contact that wasn't violent, but something about Fate made the quest so much less fun. She gave away moments like this for her 'studies' if Andii remembered correctly. It was almost shameful, but Andii required more from this. The young woman would someday desire the loyalty of Fate, even if it wasn't readily given. Her position among the Digi|Destineds required it just as much as her greedy heart. "Why dearest Moira, I'm in turmoil really." Andii brought her hand up to cup Fate's face gently while she flipped about carefully in the other young woman's grasp. Now facing Fate, Andii smiled slightly. Fakely.
Moira was a name that Andii reserved for Fate only after she was called Mammon. Relating along the same lines of her nickname, Moira was the name for one of the three Goddess' of fate, and while it wasn't quite as flattering as Mammon, Andii did rather enjoy it. Being compared to a demon normally wouldn't flatter others, but somehow it fit Andii. She desired so much, and even if Mammon wasn't a beautiful thing, it was more like her than she'd admit. "I've had such an awful day. Salamon is being mean to me again and she left me all alone." Andii spoke in a deep whisper, much as Fate had before her, but hers was laced with a slight flirtatious edge. Somehow it was meant to have an air of seduction to it. Andii had far too much practice with such things, though it was less likely to work on one such as Fate, who had known her long enough to know what she was like.
Andii wondered how Fate would take her reaction in comparison to a normal one. She obviously didn't feel like others did with such unexpected intrusions on her personal space. Just a stone's toss away, Andii caught sight of Lopmon. The small creature would probably dislike how she had acted thus far based on how he was protective, but a sudden desire arose to push her luck even further. To bother Lopmon to the best of her ability. With a smirk she wrapped her arms about Fate's waist. The other girl was clearly taller than Andii, by a fair margin in fact, but that didn't frighten her off at all. Andii leaned in a little and inched herself up on her toes so that she could whisper even softer into Fate's ear, "I don't understand why she doesn't love me more, Fate, do you?" The young pale haired girl didn't do that act simply so she could as that question, she did it mostly based off of the fact that it was likely to pester Lopmon at least a little. Well, that and any reason to bring herself closer to another human being.
Probably the most amusing aspect of this whole situation, Andii thought with a smile, was that if anyone were to see the two woman they might mistake them for a straight couple. Fate often was mistaken for a man, after all, and she was the taller more stern figure between the two. Andii could easily be mistaken for Fate's younger lover. The thought was enough to cause her to smile fully.

Fate was amused. Truly. Utterly. Amused. Even after all this time, Andii failed to disappoint her. Her reactions were one of the most fun to watch out of all of the Digi|Destined. She had expected some sort of distain from her approach, generally because "Mammon" knew of her journals and disapproved of them. Despite this, Fate knew that she wouldn't be too offended by her actions. The younger girl was the chosen child of greed for a very good reason. ”Turmoil? How so?” She asked, feeling Andii’s hand on her cheek. Fate watched the other intently, yet a cheshire’s grin played on her lips.
”Oh? How rude of her.” She replied, sounding honestly disappointed, whether she was or not was another question. Fate was a master at ‘guising her true emotions. They were dancing, she noted. Of course, it wasn’t in the way most people would figure, but by simply “playing” like this, they were dancing. Casually flirting. Toying with one another. Had she been some man or a weak willed woman, perhaps she might have fallen for Andii’s tricks. Alas, she had not. Her mind was much too focused on mentally documenting their little encounter now to write up later. . . and what to say in response. A conversation took two people at the very least.
Lopmon was still watching them at a distance. His eyes were tracking Andii’s every move. It bothered him. It truly did, but didn’t do anything. He knew that the child of greed was not one to be bothered with. One that someone shouldn’t try tampering with. Especially when they were the child of not only greed but desire itself. He noted Fate’s reaction as Andii wrapped an arm around her. Fate was curious, a common thing from her, but he knew that same curiousity would get her killed one of these days. Just as tiptoed up, Fate leaned down to her. He caught bits and pieces of what she said. Nothing noteworthy though. The girl had made it so he couldn’t make much out of it, much to his distain. So, he restorted to staring up at them, from where he was, a firm, disapproving frown touched his lips.
Fate pulled away once Andii was done speaking, just enough to look her straight in the eyes. There was a strange twinkle in her eyes as she replied, ”tis mad to trust in the tameness of a wolf, a horse's health, a boy's love, or a whore's oath.” It wasn’t quite a quote, since she added a touch of her dramatic flair into it, but it was mostly Shakespeare’s own words. Right after that, she gave Andi a light flick on the nose as she moved away. Even a digimon partner could not be trusted in the end, at least in her opinion. They simply had a symbiotic relationship. If one dies, the other would simply go mad. She knew that fact very, very intimately. Fate could hear Lopmon regain his breath once she moved away. He truly disliked her choice in allies, but not as far as to leave them. Fate wouldn’t as long as they provided her the necessary entertainment. Something she always seemed to find around Andii, or should she say “Mammon?” Fate had her back turned away from the other as she pretended to think. Why of course. That was it! She thought spinning back around.
Suddenly, Fate took Andii’s hands in hers. Her eyes intently stared down at hers. ”Now, why haven’t I thought of it sooner. Dearest Mammon, why shouldn’t we spend the day together? Enjoy the scenery this world has to offer. Perhaps we could make that mangy pup of your utterly jealous ~ ?” It was amusing to think, Lopmon shook his head a bit disapprovingly, had he not known Fate was a woman, he would have thought Fate was asking to go on a date with her. But then again, Fate had never really shown much of an interest towards others. Other than her brother, of course. Lucemon bless his soul, wherever he may be.

Fate was infuriating. She played this game so well, and while it could be painfully amusing it could also be cumbersome. Andii did initiate this little encounter under these pretenses though and she was content to play it through as such. It was a frightful thought to wonder how things may be had both participants in the conversation been completely forward and... honest. Andii wasn't sure if she was capable of such a thing in situations like this, even if she did think Fate rather dashing and entirely involving. "She was rather rude," The young woman mused just after Fate spoke as much. It was likely that Salamon wouldn't show her face about for the rest of the afternoon just out of spite, but there was the chance that she would surprise Andii. She had, after all, done it before.
Daring to catch a glimpse towards Lopmon in her spare down moments and she was so very glad she did. His disapproving look filled her with the joy she needed to overwhelm her somewhat sour feelings. It was far too easy for her to slip into foul moods after observing something like how difficult Fate was, but simple victories always seemed to save her from brooding too much. Lopmon knew his place rather well not to challenge her as well, which only added to her renewed elation. 'Perhaps I can make something rather positive of this day with these kind of results thus far...' Andii smirked happily, realizing that all of her little plots worked so brilliantly when executed right. Lopmon would most certainly be horrified someday by her actions and that would bring her untold joy, but for now simply thinking of such made her happy enough.
Then Andii's interest was suddenly, and pleasantly, snapped back to Fate when the other young woman said something of particular interest. "...why shouldn’t we spend the day together?" Andii lit up with devious excitement at the idea. She and Fate had 'worked' together for some time, but they never seemed to have prolonged exposure to each other for some reason. Probably because they seemed to constantly be playing a game with each other, but that didn't much matter, what did matter was the new collection of plans that began to spring up as Andii considered going on a small adventure with Fate. The fact that the entire escapade may bring jealousy was a plus, but the effect that it could have on Lopmon was far more important for the moment. The small bunny wouldn't like the idea and the best part was that Andii didn't even have to really work for it. "That is so perfect! I don't know what prevented us from doing something similar sooner," Andii's voice almost curled into a purr, something that she may have picked up from Deimi.
Adjusting her ribbon in her hair for a moment, Andii prepared herself for what would come after this. Things would certainly be interesting and she was sure that Fate would have plenty of material to add to her studies, but that wasn't as concerning as it normally would have been to the young child of greed. All Andii could think of was how she would use this day to her advantage. Perhaps she could bring herself closer to Fate so that Fate's loyalty may someday truly be hers without question. That would be pleasant, but it would most likely take far more time and devotion. Andii didn't mind donating her time and effort though, because in the end it was all about getting what she wanted and Andii always got what she wanted. It didn't matter what or how long it would take before and she wasn't going to start worrying over it now. Not when she had already devoted fair time into Fate.
"Wherever shall we explore though?" Andii asked enthusiastically, something that was somewhat surprising. Not quite remembering that Fate had pulled back from her, Andii linked arms with the other young woman and continued to muse aloud about what they should do. "A trip to somewhere scenic? Oh or perhaps somewhere dangerous?" The digital world was vast and there would be many places to chose from, but that wasn't entirely Andii's concern. She wanted to know the type of area that Fate would like to go to so that she may better understand her motivations for wishing to go out together. It was most likely for study, as always, but Andii didn't count out Fate's ability to surprise her either.
